Eastern Oregon Sit Atop Preseason Power Rankings

LA GRANDE, ORE — The Mountaineers of Eastern Oregon will enter the year at No.1 for the Preseason NAIA Volley Report Power Rankings. EOU is led by long-time head coach Kaki McLean Morehead, who holds a 406-120 career record at the helm.
In the 2025 season, EOU had an astonishing year, winning 20 straight matches and only dropping just 19 sets.
1. Eastern Oregon Mountaineers - Cascade Collegiate Conference
First Four:

Last season recap: EOU qualified for the NAIA National Tournament with an automatic berth after winning the regular-season and tournament titles. Eastern hosted the opening round as the number one seed. They made it to Sioux City once again, where they swept Huntington and topped St. Thomas in four frames. They fell short in the semifinals to IWU, which was the eventual National Champion.
2. Northwestern Red Raiders - Great Plains Athletic Conference

Last season recap: NWC qualified for the NAIA National Tournament with an automatic berth after winning the regular-season and tournament titles. Northwestern hosted the opening round as the number two seed. They made it to Sioux City once again, where they swept Lewis-Clarke State and Aquinas in pool play. They toppled in Bellevue in the quarterfinals, and they blanked Concordia in the semifinals. The Raiders had a rematch in the title game with Indiana Wesleyan, where they fell in four frames.
